The Computer Training Workshops are sponsored by the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR). All classes will be held in the computer lab at IALR. Participants who have registered for a class and need to cancel must do so three business days prior to the start of class to receive a refund. Also, due to unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather, IALR reserves the right to cancel a class with prior notice on the day of the class. Thank you for your understanding. 

Registration for each class is $25 individual or $15 military/senior citizen unless specified below. Payment and registration must be completed prior to the start of the class.

Classes must have at least 6 participants to be held.

Introduction to Excel
Let's start with some of the basics in Microsoft Excel. Learn how to use basic tools, simple tricks, and get tips on how Excel can make your work or home life easier. This class discusses the Microsoft Excel 2016 ribbon, using basic formulas, organizing and copying data. Bring plenty of questions!

Intermediate Excel
If you feel confident working with Excel, and would like to learn even more tricks to make your business or personal budget run smoother, this is the class for you! We will look deeper into formulas, charts, organizing large sums of data, and more. Bring your hardest problems so we can show you how to solve them.

Adobe Acrobat X Pro/Reader
During this class students will get to dive into Adobe and learn some key differences between Adobe Reader and Pro versions of the program. Students will learn how to create fallible forms, edit PDF's, combine pages and more.

Social Media- Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
Wish you were more social media savvy? Whether you have social media accounts, or need to start from scratch, this class will teach the basics on getting and using your social media. Learn how to add friends and followers, share pictures, send messages and more.

Cloud Storage - What is a Cloud?
Do you hear others talking about saving data to a "Cloud"? Students will learn the basics of what cloud storage is, why it is useful, and how they can use their very own cloud to save everything from pictures to documents.
