IALR Executive Director Mark Gignac served as the opening speaker at the Cannabis & Tobacco Science Summit presented by Waters Corporation. As an industry thought leader, Gignac was invited to share perspectives with the rest of the attendees.
The summit convened directors and principal scientist delegates from the cannabis and tobacco manufacturers, government agencies, contract testing laboratories and research institutes to discuss current and future trends in analytical testing, challenges relative to regulatory needs, and future trends and needs for the evolving cannabis and tobacco industries.
The summit allowed attendees to share insights, build peer networks and influence the direction of technology solutions to support the scientific, business and regulatory challenges associated with cannabis and tobacco studies.
