Board of Trustees’ Chairman Don Merricks (right) presented Jerry Gwaltney with a memento honoring his service of more than four years to the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research as Executive Director. Gwaltney retired from the Institute July 31, 2017. The token of appreciation was designed by students and staff at the Gene Haas Center for Integrated Machining, a Capstone program developed by Danville Community College and the Institute.
“I have enjoyed the associations that I have made, the many new things that I have learned, and the many accomplishments that we have all achieved working together,” said Gwaltney.
