Allison Moore

Allison Moore joined IALR in 2018 and serves as Senior Director, Public Relations and Communications. She works to build positive public awareness of the organization’s role as a leader in economic and community transformation across Southern Virginia. Moore’s award-winning team has earned multiple gold and silver Summit Awards from the Public Relations Society (PRSA) of America Blue Ridge Chapter. They also helped lead brand and website development efforts for innovative programs like Great Opportunities in Technology and Engineering Careers (GO TEC®). Moore has more than 20 years of experience in the communications field and previously led teams in the banking and defense manufacturing industries. As an inaugural member of the Virginia Rural Leadership Institute, she is committed to collaborative solutions to ensure economic prosperity for all Commonwealth communities. Moore serves as the Membership Chair and Director-at-Large for Blue Ridge PRSA. She is an alumna of the School of Journalism and Mass Communications (now the Hussman School of Journalism and Media) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a Master of Business Administration from Longwood University.
