Joan Turbyfill joined IALR in October 2024 as the Grants and Contracts Specialist. Turbyfill holds a BS degree from Averett University in Business Education. Before joining IALR, she served as the Mortgage Accounting Specialist for American National Bank. Before that position, Turbyfill was an Adjunct Faculty Member for the Business Division and Workforce Services at Danville Community College for 28 years. During her years at DCC, she was awarded the first Adjunct Faculty Member of the Year Award.
Turbyfill has been a past member and officer of the Danville Founders Chapter of BNI (Business Network International), Danville BPW (Business and Professional Women) and DPWA (Danville Professional Women’s Association). Turbyfill currently serves on the Patient & Family Advisory Committee for SOVAH Health with her husband, David.
