Kiana Dillard serves as the Program Coordinator for Work-Based Learning at IALR. In this role, Dillard is responsible for curating internship opportunities for high school students as well as externship placements for teachers and counselors, cultivating the talent pipeline to meet the needs of regional employers. Dillard brings over five years of experience in youth development and enrichment-based learning programs. She previously served as the County High School Director for the MHC After 3 – 21st Century Community Learning Center programs at Patrick & Henry Community College (P&HCC).
Dillard holds a bachelor’s degree in business and digital marketing from the University of Phoenix online campus. She has been a makeup artist and graphic designer for several years, spending her summers teaching entrepreneurship, cosmetology and a host of other hands-on courses with the Summer Discovery Institute. Dillard has also participated in TRiO programs, federal programs to increase access to higher education for economically disadvantaged students at P&HCC. Dillard is an active member of her local NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) chapter and the founder and sponsor of the MHC Excellence Scholarship.
